The Conceptual Framework of the Scientific Program
The scientific program of the ISPRM 2009 has been planned to take place in six different halls simultaneously.
We will be offering the highest level of scientific approach to neurorehabilitation in the first hall (the Auditorium-a congress hall of auditorium design with a 2000 guest capacity), addressing the audience with the state-of-the-art lectures.
In the second hall, we will mainly be focusing on the rehabilitation of the diseases related to bone&joint, including the spine and the extremities which deserve special attention in the Bone & Joint Decade 2001-2010.
In the third hall, a cutting edge practice will be reflected on major topics of our discipline such as pain management, electrodiagnosis and clinical metrology in rehabilitation to meet the challanges of the new millenium.
In the fourth hall, hot topics in rehabilitation will be discussed, providing us with practical reviews of current research and therapies in a wide range of rehabilitation topics.
In the fifth hall, we will be presenting an “Allied Health Professional Program”, emphasising the need and action for cooperation and collaboration among disciplines to offer a better world for people with disabilities, the most important paradigm related to rehabilitation in the 21st century.
The sixth hall is dedicated to Special Meetings/Group meetings where prominent organizations in the field of rehabilitation will be offering their activities and educational information on PRM which will allow awareness and close cooperation between the organization in addition to knowledge on rehabilitation issues.
While oral presentations of current research will have been implemented in related sessions, poster viewing will be possible at the breaks. Poster grand rounds will allow the discussion of selected posters.
Special topics, for those who are interested in, will be covered in detail in an interactive manner in the “Breakfast with the Experts” sessions.
“How to do it” workshops will not only aid in updating our skills in our clinical practice, but will also make invaluable contributions to our personal professional development through exclusive ones on selected topics such as leadership and maximizing our teaching skills.Best practice sessions will update our knowledge on specific health conditions.
Systematically planned pre-congress courses will also contribute to our education and training.
